Stella! Millburn Rocktoberfest gets extra boost from beer maker

MILLBURN, NJ — Rocktoberfest, presented by the Millburn Education Foundation, returns to Millburn’s Taylor Park this Saturday with more than 20 acts, plus a kids’ zone, beer garden and more.

The sixth annual event will be boosted by beer brand Stella Artois, which will provide samples and a celebrity chef creating recipes.

According to an announcement from organizers, “New to the event will be Frites Artois presented by Stella Artois, featuring recipes created by celebrity chef Roy Choi, a Jeep Bud Light Seltzer tasting its loudest flavors ever seen in the Beer Garden, and a Michelob Ultra Mobile Fitness Gym in the fitness area.”

All proceeds from Rocktoberfest will benefit Millburn Township schools, teachers and students.

Artists play music in a variety of genres.

Featured artists include:

  • Leon & the Peoples “with their signature high-energy blend of reggae and soul”
  • The Edge of Heaven, a Chinese-American jazz fusion ensemble
  • The headlining performance: The Rocktoberfest All Stars, a collaboration led by keyboardist Steve Molitz of Particle. It also features Lenny Meranus (vocals/guitar) from Livingston Leo’s Chicken Dinner and features moe’s Al Schnier (vocals/guitar), Uptown Horns saxophonist Arno Hecht and legendary drummer Don Castagno.

“Last year we were dealing with Hurricane Ida and many businesses were unable to participate. But this year, we’re excited to bounce back — and in a big way — we’ve partnered with Stella Artois and we have an incredible lineup of musicians,” said Rocktoberfest President Joanna Parker-Lentz. “And many good surprises which we keep secret.”

There will be over 20 bands and solo artists on two stages.

There will also be a beer garden, other food and drink, and free fitness classes in the park. The Kid Zone will feature inflatable rides and carnival games for children.
