Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner was hospitalized with “major heart problems”, forcing the group to postpone the remainder of their current US tour. Guitarists from all over the world of heavy music have taken to social media to send him their best wishes.

The group posted the news on social media yesterday (September 27), writing in a statement: “It is with deep regret that we have to postpone the remainder of our US tour – Richie has serious heart health issues that are affecting him. ‘drove to the hospital. where he is cared for.

“In the meantime, we all send love to our Falcon to wish him a speedy recovery.”

Many personalities in the guitar world have sent greetings to him, including Zakk Wylde, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Holt and Mark Agnesi of Gibson.

“Get well soon Richie,” wrote Joe Bonamassa. “One of the nicest, most talented and genuine people I have met in this business.”

Doug Aldrich of Whitesnake wrote: “I just heard that our brother Richie has fallen ill and is in the hospital… Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Gary Holt from Exodus and Slayer wrote, “I wish Richie a speedy recovery, get well soon brother, one of the greatest guitarists on the planet, and cutest guy too.

Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen wrote: “Sending wishes of love and recovery to a class act and an incredibly kind human.”

Guitar YouTuber Rhett Shull wrote: “Wishing Richie Faulkner a speedy recovery, I met him a few years ago and have had nothing but great experiences the few times we’ve spent time together. If you’re the meditating / praying / positive vibe type, send them to him as he gets back on his feet with his family.
